The Beauty of Enormous Things

Lately Laura and I can't get enough of David Crowder and his album Remedy. It has really supplied us with the strength and encouragement we've needed on multiple occasions.

So it was with little surprise that I found these lyrics of his running through my head as I rode up a ski lift this past week in Colorado (looking at that view above):

"My eyes are small but they have seen
The beauty of enormous things
Which leads me to believe
Theres light enough to see (oh that)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am yours"
It's neat how people can have different take-aways from words like this. I always took it to mean the gigantic things in nature that God has made. The things that I see and that just scream "God made this!" to me. But Laura takes it to mean the enormous things that people can do and will do - the enormous good in people.

Well - this week I saw both. I saw the enormous good in people. I saw an enormous outpouring of love and support from people all over the planet. And it was quite beautiful to witness.

I also got to see that picture above in real life - and man it's like God just said "Tymm - look at this. Look at these mountains. Look at the sun, the earth, the hills and snow around you. I made this in the blink of an eye. Do you not think that I have my wonderful creation Brighton right where I want him?"

It was peaceful. It was beautiful.

It was enormous.

Tymm, you have a beautiful way of describing things. I love that song by David Crowder too. I live in beautiful Lake Tahoe and am constantly surrounded by the beauty that God has created. Brighton is exactly where God wanted him. He's being cradled by Jesus now.

I dont know that song but I love how God speaks to each one of us personally through words and other things. You and Laura were so obviously created for each other, its not even funny.

God is beyond Awesome. As one song says, He really is Indescribable!

Im so thankful that God created each one of you! Im selfish but I think you rock!

Awesome post. I LOVE this CD and song. Well, I love everything David Crowder sings. Deliver Me got me through a very difficult time in my life. It was my prayer. To this day when I feel disconnected to the Lord I put in Illuminate and I am right where I need to be.
