Roots...

We desire so much for Meron to always understand her roots - to be proud of who she is, where she is from - and God-willing to have the same kind of love and the same busted heart her parents do for her land.

Part of that is keeping her around the culture - learning it ourselves - practicing some traditions - and helping her understand how precious her birth country is.

One of the things we did while we were there was buy some traditional clothing for her and this past Sunday (family day) we spent the afternoon snapping some pictures of her sporting her gear.

I may be biased - but I think she rocked her Ethiopian garb pretty darn well!

Tymm, if you're biased, so am I. She looks great! My favorite is the close-up in the next to last photo. It is amazing what the Ethiopian clothing does for her. I'm impressed! What you're doing for her is wonderful.

It is just beautiful to see her in her Ethiopian dress. I know you'll do an incredible job of making sure her culture is an integral part of your family.

This reminds me that you brought back a gorgeous top. Need to pull that out and have a special dinner...
