Running For Brighton - Race #11

Yep - it was time again. Since Meron has no concept of "sleeping in" on the weekends - I figured why not head out early for a local 5k. This one was close to the house so we didn't have to bust out the door as early as usual.

I was coming off bronchitis and hadn't been able to train much the past couple of weeks. But as I cruised along I thought - "Whoop-a-dee-doo.. at least bronchitis doesn't kill me here. Like it can to an orphan with little healthcare. Like pneumonia can. Like diarrhea can." These races never fail at keeping things in perspective for me - and helping me to remember why it is I run every race I do.

Wanna help bring an orphan home to their forever family? You can. And it's easy. Go here to support the Running For Brighton series of races!
