Running For Brighton - Race #14

Thanksgiving day wasn't all about turkey for us. Before diving in to the mountains of food - me, Laura, Meron and our friends Kerry and Tony headed to the square to run the Gobble Jog 10K in honor of Brighton Asher.

It was a great morning, a great run, for a great reason with some great friends. Thanks you guys for caring enough to get out there and run with us!

Hiking Off The Turkey

We were crazy enough to venture out today and hit a few stores - nothing too serious and we really didn't do much shopping. And though we were worried about crowds, and traffic and all-around pandemonium - the craziest thing we ran into was... MERON.

The girl was on super-10 today... definitely demonstrating what it's like to be a 2 year old. So we decided for our own sanity to skip the rest of the stores and head to the trails for some hiking - partially hoping to wear her out and partially hoping to walk some of the turkey off!

I think we accomplished a little bit of both...

We are thankful. I could create a gigantic laundry list of the things we are thankful for - but "thankful" really sums us up - and not just today, but EVERY DAY.

We hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving and that you were able to take a second to realize just how blessed we all really are...

Running For Brighton - Race #13

It was mommy's turn to get up early and leave the house last Saturday. She left Meron and me flying solo that weekend - but for great reason. She was taking part in a Run For Brighton race in FL with a great group of her supportive friends!

We're so proud of you Mommy for training like you have the past few months - for driving all the way down to FL and for running in that warm weather... all for the memory of our dear Brighton Asher.

Idle Car Chit Chat

Meron and Mommy were chatting it up in the car the other day... favorite topic seemed to be Africa.

Meron is kinda-sorta starting to understand we came on an airplane to bring her home - or at least she pretends to get it!

Three Musketeers

Meron hadn't seen her pals Indie and Cooper in a long time - and last night we were lucky enough to meet up for some dinner with them. We are so blessed by this family and lucky to have them in our lives...

I think the pictures sum up how she feels about them - but Meron did a good job of verbalizing it too when we asked her to come sit down to eat - she said "More Cooper."
