Fit For A Princess

This castle - this most awesomely cool castle - is now where the girls (or shall I say "princesses") retire to catch their zzzzz's. Nuts huh? Lemmee tell ya how it got here...

About a month ago - as we started prepping for Zechariah to get home - Laura decided to do a little crowdsourcing and posted this on Facebook:

We got several responses from folks giving us some great suggestions of places to look. And we checked 'em out - but man - I was being a little picky... see Meron had already called top bunk and she ain't what we would call a "picture of coordination" so I was really wanting steps and not a ladder. But seriously... you know what they charge for those set ups with steps? Yeah - I didn't either... let's just say folks in the midst of an adoption probably aren't their target market...

But then we got a message from a friend who saw the Facebook post and said:

"I've got one. What are their favorite colors?"
That struck us as odd - I mean - what - do they have multiple bunks beds lying around in various shades of pink? But hey - we've heard odder things so we just told them their favorites - purple and pink.

Well - come to find out - they BUILD these incredibly awesome bunk beds and they wanted to build the girls one - FOR FREE! We were completely floored, humbled and grateful. There is NO way we would have been able to afford the type of beds that would have made us feel safe and comfortable. But these guys totally provided us with that...

There are steps not a ladder for Miss Top Bunk Queen...

They each have their own built in closet with shelves...

Heck - there's even a SLIDING BOARD for Meron to exit out of in the morning...

We got it all set up today as a surprise for the girls - you should have seen their faces... utter shock.

Mebbie is absolutely LOVING her new big girl bed...

And Meron is pretty dang happy too!

Not only did these incredible guys build this for us - they also rented a U-Haul and delivered it in the pouring rain and then installed it for us... totally humbled. That's what we are.

I've said it a million times but the adoption community takes top honors for being one of the most incredible communities to be a part of. These guys have adopted twice and they were so quick to jump in with both feet and say "we got this." I doubt they'll ever know the size of the blessing they gave us...

Tiffany and Eric - from the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!

Anybody out there interested in a bed set up like this - let us know! The quality is incredible and the love poured into would never be matched at Rooms To Go...

AWESOME! LOVE IT when God uses people to bless others. What a gift your girls were given; pray that God blesses the business of the giver. TOO cool.
