Zip-lines and Slingshots

Today I had the privilege of accompanying Meron on her first ever field trip with her class. And it was an honor too because she specifically requested that I come... of course there's no chance of me saying "No" to that!

The trip was to a pumpkin patch and when we got there - it was pretty chilly - hugging on one of your best friends was a good way to stay warm!

They got right down to business by kicking it off with some "horse races..."

EVERYBODY was a winner here...

They also had some slides that looked like future Tough Mudder training...

They got to get some exercise by pumping water...

to send some ducks down a chute in a race!

Then there was the thing that EVERYBODY was willing to patiently wait in line for...

THE ZIP LINE! And Meron absolutely loved it...

They even got to load up some giant sized slingshots with some pumpkin ammo...

And sling it at some targets!

There was a very cool hayride pulled by a John Deere tractor that was "way bigger than yours daddy!"

And all of this fun (mixed with yesterday's rain) meant for a seriously muddy bottom on one little girl!

We wrapped it up with a picnic lunch and a little more playing...

Before it was time to say goodbye to all her friends and head out...

Meron - like I told you today - I LOVED spending the day with you and your friends... you seriously impressed me with your attitude and behavior. You showed kindness and love, you were courteous and friendly and you were what we pray every single day for you to be... a light to others.

Really super proud to be your daddy. Thanks for a wonderful day!
