Motley Crew

This doesn't happen often folks... this whole motley crew together in one spot!

But tonight it did - and we got to ring in the New Year with these guys!

Blessed to get to see all these guys at once... HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody!

There's a whole lotta crazy wrapped up in this little guy.

There's also a whole lot of love, grace, redemption and sweetness in there too.

Could watch him sleep all day!

Our Climbers

One of the things I absolutely LOVE about the move out here is how much these two girls have taken to outdoors stuff

And I love watching them love it.

I pray it never changes and only grows stronger!

Pajama Loving Cousins

The cousins are all here now - and our goofball gang is in Heaven!

It doesn't even matter what they are doing - as long as they are doing it together.

Even just hanging out in their new pajamas from Aunt Stacy...

Love seeing these guys all hanging out together and having fun!

We're missing two here - Will and Amelia are feeling a little under the weather...

Here's to feeling better before the week is up guys!

Things are about to get crazy up in here!

Merry and Bright...

The goofball gang woke up to a path of lights from their bedroom doors all the way to the living room...

We had a most wonderful morning celebrating and laughing and playing...

Then ended the night with our final Jesse Tree reading.

I hope your day was merry and bright as well - and filled with laughing, loving and honoring Jesus.

Merry Christmas!

From Our House To Yours...

Just in time for the festivities of tomorrow - it's what you've all been waiting for... The Camp Hoffman Christmas Card!

And it's simple and easy to use - just follow the instructions below:

Cut out that part above and paste it to the part below... and WAH-LAW...

Camp Hoffman Christmas Card!

And if hanging that at the crib isn't enough - try punching a hole and hanging it on your key chain.

Word on the street is you can even swipe it as a Starbucks card - haven't tried it yet so no promises...

If that isn't enough to tide ya over - go check out our Jesse Tree Rhymes we've been knocking out every night for the full story of this season in rhyming couplets!

Camp Hoffman is wishing a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to everybody we know (and don't know!).

We hope your day is filled with fun, love, happiness, excitement and Jesus.

"C" Is For "Cookie"

Granny usually does this with the girls - but with Granny being far away this year - Mommy had to bust out the tools and ingredients and get it going on!

And with the help of some dedicated decorators...

They ended up with some pretty good cookies that I think Granny would be proud of!

I love seeing this crew making memories together!

They were great girls!

Rolling 8 Deep

I love watching kids get together.

Adults could stand to learn so much from just watching how they interact and get along...

Oh yeah - and how they do this!

The world needs more of this...

Risky Business

One of our resident goofballs was doing his best to channel his inner "Risky Business" Tom Cruise tonight as he owned the kitchen in his white socks, t-shirt and undies (pull ups!)...

I mean dude was either ALL THE WAY ON...

Or he was deliriously sleep deprived!

Probably both...

Then - for extra measure - he threw in some John Travolta "Staying Alive"...

And chased it with a little Michael Flately "Riverdance" as his closer.

Keep dancing Z-Dogg! KEEP ON DANCING!

Not Starbucks...

We have some good friends who are DIE-HARD fans of a coffee shop that is not Starbucks.

So this morning - we finally made it up there to visit with them and check out their favorite place on the planet - Wesley Owens Coffee.

Inside there were crazy little minions - and dope sheet metal and wood decor around the bar...

There were a couple other posers - and LOTS of great drinks and food items too (we had breakfast...)

The place was great - we see why our friends are groupies (and the dope blue door isn't the only reason!)...

Guys... thanks for the introduction!

If ya find yourself in Monument, CO - make sure and drop by this spot.

And let us know - cuz we'll come meet ya!

Granny Knows Best

Sometimes... you get a box in the mail from Granny with all the necessary ingredients for some DOPE hot chocolate...

And sometimes - you find yourself after bath time with a GIGANTIC mug on the table...

And sometimes you find yourself stirring those ingredients in one of those mugs with a candy cane...

While staring down in to this...

And sometimes - it all adds up to a face like this!

Because sometimes... GRANNY KNOWS BEST!

Finally Got One

This little dude has been walking around stroking his bare-naked chin saying "Beard!" for a while now...

And now - thanks to a dope gift from my work white elephant exchange - he has joined the club!

He couldn't be happier!

Looking good Z-Dogg!

Next up - duck calls and camo gear!

Ole Weepy Eyes

This kid is the KING of whining.

And pouting.

He thinks it's gonna get him something. It never has...

We try to be empathetic...

Really... we do!

It's just not always easy!

Keep your chin up Z -Dogg... LIFE IS GOOD!

Happy Birthday Papa

That's Laura's awesome dad right there. Also known as "papa" to the rest of us.

And he was one heck of a Papa to his grand-kids. And the closest thing I will ever know to a dad.

Last September - after a wicked impressive battle with cancer - he went home to be with his heavenly Father. And today - he would have been 75 years old.

Laura was feeling down - until Meron listened to her heart and said:

"Let's have a birthday party for Papa!"
She hears God whisper to her and she's not afraid to listen.

A birthday party is just what was needed.

Meron knew Papa would be 75 today so she suggested we add the numbers together and put 12 candles on the tiny little cupcake!

Laura was already cheering up!

Then we all gathered around and sang "Happy Birthday!" to Papa at the top of our lungs.

And for the record - I am glad I was off camera. Because looking at Meron singing to her Papa who is in Heaven while staring at her mommy who she was doing this all for...

That was just too much for me man. Either that or I got some dust in both my eyes at the same time...

And then - after a collective blowing out of Papa's candles...

We all dug in and had some cupcakes and ice cream in his honor!

Our memories of Papa bring out smiles like this...

And I am forever blessed by the things God did to make sure this little dude met his Papa...

One day... Z-Dogg will get all this and understand just how big a deal it was.

Tonight we had an earthly celebration for the memory of an amazing man who was celebrating at the same time - enjoying his birthday with the Creator who made him.

Meron - you have no idea what you did this evening.

Your plans can be wild, sporadic, insane, nutty and full of crazy...

But tonight girl? What you did for mommy? Tonight you nailed it.

Thank you sweet girl for helping us remember Papa like kids should...
