A couple of us are growing some SERIOUS bushes on our heads around here...
one on top - the other on the bottom...
One of those just happens to be a LOT cuter than the other!
Actually - ALL of us got some growth going on!
Let it grow, let it grow, LET IT GROW!

God put this beautiful little gem in the sky across the street from us tonight!
And then He put these cool kids at our house for the weekend too!
Luckily - Jeff pointed out the rainbow shooting out of Laura's head... or we all might have missed it.
Conversation with like-minded and like-hearted folks NEVER, EVER gets old.
Thankful for friends like these tonight...

If you are whipped cream in a little Starbucks cup - possibly with a little tiny bit of caramel drizzle on you...
I am here to warn you right now...
You don't stand a chance against this little Lion of Judah!
Don't let the innocent smile fool you.
He's a master of disaster when it comes to this little dessert!
And he knows it!
Destroy that whipped cream Z!

One of the perks of working in a building that overlooks the Air Force Academy for an organization that really cares about its employees is this: FLYOVER PICNIC.
On the Air Force Academy's graduation day - Compassion throws a big parking lot picnic, invites all employee's families and we all get to watch the Thunderbirds do some seriously cool stuff in the sky.
It starts with some visitors like this girl above...
And a sun-drenched Mebbie too!
And then the fun starts!
And these guys were awesome to watch!
Even upside down!
Little Z-Dogg was MESMERIZED!
And why not - the show was cool!
Meron loved it but had a few questions:
"Daddy... are those pilots scared when they shoot straight up like that and then fall down?"and:
"Ya know daddy - it doesn't seem fair really. That some air people get to fly these planes while some others just stand at that gate letting people in..."Totally unfair Meron. Totally.
And then - about 30 minutes after it started - the Thunderbirds took their toys and headed home.
Here's to what hopefully becomes a new summer tradition for us!

The pool opened last weekend and swimming season is officially here.
I love swimming season. Not because of flip flops. I hate flip flops - or "trip drops" as I call them.
No - I love swimming season for another reason... see above photo and you shall see what I love.
That's right... konked out kiddos.
The swimming hangover produces a bunch of little pool drunkards just lying around.
AND I LOVE IT.
So yes - little Hoffmans - we can swim all we want this summer!
SWIM HARDER! MORE TIRED!

Somebody got a new pair of kicks from the Converse store recently...
and he is LOVING THEM!
He's especially loving cheesing for the camera...
in multiple poses!
And then of course he had to slide in a "show you my muscles" pose...
LOOKING GOOD Z!

On Laura's suggestion - we hiked as a family up to a spot where we had this view this afternoon!
It. Was. Awesome.
I absolutely love getting out and soaking in God's artwork with this crew...
And it wouldn't be a Camp Hoffman gathering if somebody wasn't photobombing a picture...
Well played Laura. Well played...
The smiles on the faces said it all.
We all had a blast!
Good thing too - cuz we got a LOT of mountains to explore!

Today - after being in storage since January - the royal kingdom was restored in the girls' bedroom.
While the royal residents were out enjoying a pool party - me, a power drill and a car jack - got this thing all back together. And if you know of this castle - then you know it weighs about 7 trillion pounds. Yeah... I'mma be hurting tomorrow...
The queen was very happy to be back in her perch...
And the princess - minus all her front teeth - was just as thrilled!
Seeing their smiles and joy as they set their "lockers" back up made the 5.5 hours of torturous set up well worth it.
Glad to see you back in power girls!

Today was field day at Meron's school. And I am lucky enough to work somewhere that actually really cares about family - so i was able to slip out for a bit to see a little of it.
And right off the bat - my girl was LEAPING!
I'm talking GETTING UP THERE!
And with some encouragement from Mommy and Z-Dogg...
She was LOVING things!
She took some time to hydrate...
and cheer on her friends...
Before jumping right in to the tricycle races.
Which were... AWESOME!
Next it was the obstacle course - or what I like to call "Tough Mudder Training..."
Which of course...
LIKE A BOSS!
It even ended with a karate kick. I KNOW she loved that.
I had to slide out and head back to work after this. When I got home tonight I asked her which event was her favorite...
"All of them."I hear ya girl... they did all look fun!
I love her adventurous spirit and willingness to give her all at whatever she is doing.
Way to go today big girl!
