Women Are Scary

With a blog title like that - ripe with truth - I could just end this right here, couldn't I?

But there's more to it.

Our friend Melanie Dale wrote this book about "The totally awkward adventure of moms finding mom friends."

And she was gonna be in town signing her book - so of course we had to head over there!

Meron - who has been reading her little head off in the "Magic Treehouse Series" was so excited..

"Wait - we know a real, live author? We're gonna get to meet her? Will she sign the book I am reading?"

Hilarious - and I loved her enthusiasm - so totally worth asking.

And Melanie was more than happy to sign Meron's book...

and it totally made Meron's day!

Of course - we had to get a family edition signature book - made out to "Camp Hoffman" - as well. Meron couldn't have ALL the fun...

Melanie - we loved our brief visit today! We're wishing you all the best in this book - in your life - and in all you do to champion for those who need a voice...

Stay witty - stay silly - and stay chasing Him!

And - here's a little plug. Are you a mom wanting to know how to meet other moms? Me either. But if you are - here's the help you've been waiting for!

Go order one or a dozen and give them to your target mom friends so you can all be on the same page!

I'm a dad - not really needing to make any mom friends - but I'm gonna read it for the simple fact that the title is SPOT ON and the cover art has 2 moms depicted as cake pops with one taking a big chunk out of the other's head.

As if that isn't enough - the very first printed words in chapter 1 are a quote from my all time favorite movie ever:

"At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
- - Billy Madison
If that ain't worth reading - I dunno what is...
