Sending Them Up

I LOVE this quote from Oswald Chambers:

"Prayer does not fit us for the greater work, prayer is the greater work."
Such great and true words...

3 years ago to the date we were involved in some SERIOUS prayer. And through that God really showed me the true power of it. We - along with a prayer team of around 90 - were praying daily for Meron, for our travels, for her bonding, her adoption, her homecoming...

Seriously - God was ridiculously faithful on each and every prayer we tossed up to Him. And I walked away a hard-core believer in it. I was convinced that by placing ALL of our decisions before Him we just couldn't go wrong.

Well - today was the National Day of Prayer - so of course we were down for some praying. I snatched Meron up after school and she and I headed up to our church. They were opening up for the day for people to come by and pray.

I think Meron was a little confused when she hit me with these questions:
"Why are we not singing?"
and...
"Where is everybody?"
But she caught on quick with what we were doing. We both prayed for our "BIG 5":

ADOPTIONS | ORPHANS | MISSIONS | NEIGHBORS | NATIONS

And then we headed out. It was short and sweet. And awesome. And since she is a Hoffman - Meron can't hold "serious" for too long. So she let this fly unprovoked:

I LOVE praying with my girl...
